Q: Tell us about yourself:
A: I am an electronic engineer from London. I live in England where I run my own computer and electronic repair workshop. In the past I had worked for a short time as mechanic, in plumbing, in
building, as a barman, and as a teacher.

Q: What are your areas of expertise and how did you come to be involved with them?
A: I cover more than one area of expertise. For a living I repair computers, printers, monitors and electronic devices. I also like fixing my own cars and have restored several old cars. I am not a professional mechanic, but I can give good advice on cars. I also fix my own appliances and gadgets of any sort. I have learned a lot here on Fixya.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I used to play bass guitar in a band, but that is long time gone now. As I said, I fix my own car and sometimes like restoring old ones.

Q: What first brought you to FixYa? When?
A: Well…Google!

Q: What is the FixYa answer you are most proud of?
A: All my good ones, I have got many of them!

Q: What advice do you have for those asking questions?
A: When something cannot be fixed by the home user, have them call a repairman. Sometimes knowledge is not enough, you also need practice.

Q: What advice do you have for experts?
A: Don’t worry too much when you post a good solution and don’t get rewarded with a good rating. On Fixya experts work on a big number of solutions. In the long run you will score Fixya on other solution and achieve the right rank for your expertise.

Q: What new features would you like to see FixYa roll out?
A: It would be great if FixYa could introduce a search engine to let you search through your own old solutions.
