FixYa to Judge CES 2009 Best Gadgets
The Consumer Electronics Showcase’s Last Gadget Standing super session is back for its ninth year, and who better to judge it than the people who repair millions of electronics and computers? Us!
For the first time in CES history, FixYa will judge what is touted as the Oscars of Technology. In association with judges from NetShelter’s Technology Media network, FixYa will use its 1 million tips on more than 6000 brands of products to make informed decisions on ten finalists to grace the Last Gadget Standing stage.
On January 10, longtime technology editor and writer Robin Raskin, will emcee the hour-long demo event, and viewers are asked to choose a winner. Over the last nine years, this event has become a crowd favorite and thousands of online voters, tech journalists and industry leaders turn out to root for their favorite competitor. Some of this year’s entries include the popular Flip MinoHD and the Blackberry Storm.
“Every year CES showcases the hottest gadgets of the year,” Says FixYa CEO, Yaniv Bensadon. “But people forget that FixYa troubleshoots these items long after they’ve launched. As a judge, we’ve got the unique perspective to ensure that consumers see the quality and true cost of their new gadget purchases.”
