New “Ask Me” Feature
Ask Me! Ask Me!
If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet we made some changes over the weekend. In particular we have added the ability to ask an expert directly. While it isn’t limited to just the experts it does come in handy when you are trying to solve a problem.
In my case I was having some trouble with my Nintendo Wii and instantly began searching the usual discussion boards and forums that fellow gamers chat on to see if they had run in to anything similar.
Unfortunately I didn’t have any luck and I turned to FixYa where I would surely find an answer. I have read a lot of helpful solutions and wanted to see if anybody else had the same problem with a wireless connection on their console. After a quick search I found that Figaro 1974 (link: http://www.fixya.com/users/figaro1974)had experienced a similar issue(link: http://www.fixya.com/support/t421450-nintendo_wii), however, they were not working off a wireless router. Kpenguin’s (link:http://www.fixya.com/users/kpenguin) answer was extremely helpful, but since my situation was a little different I wanted to see if he had any other suggestions.
Previously I would have had to submit an additional comment and hoped he read it or post a new question and hoped that he saw the question. Now I have the ability to ask him directly by clicking on the “Ask Me” button located on the solution or on their profile page.
While I chose to send the question to him as a regular solution there was still the option to utilize the premium service of chat or email assistance. Both of the premium options are still available for all experts to answer in case the person I am asking is not available, but in this case it was not an emergency so I decided to stick with a non-premium post.
After posting my question I checked back a little later to discover that he had responded to my post. I now have step by step directions (link: http://www.fixya.com/support/t437104-wii_wireless_connection) on how to finally get my Wii hooked up to the internet. I can’t wait to get home and set it up!
I hope you enjoy it as much as me.
