My Experences here on FixYa have been interesting to say the least. I ran into a great many persons, and I can say that the expertise levels vary. I guess my problem is being in the electronics business for 25 years and working in telecommunications for 16.5 of those years has made me somewhat insensitive to the “newbie” or persons of interest. Most of what I have run into on FixYa are doityourselfers which is cool for some problems, but other problems that require specialized equipment are what nails me. I really want to be of help and get these folks up and running but sometimes I find it discouraging not being able to fix something that is simple because I have to explain how to do it vs just doing it. Like I said I find FixYa interesting and the people enjoyable, I just wish there were a way I could have some people just send me their stuff and let me work on it and ship it back to them (with them paying shipping of course, I am not rich you know), but I think that that is not allowed here on FixYa, well in any even I’ll keep helping.
